This image file can be of any desired file format viz. CDR (Corel Draw ), AI (Adobe illustrator) EMF (Enhanced Metafile), WMF (Windows Metafile), SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) etc.

Where Curves mean :

Curves also known as 'Vectors' are images, independent of pixel and resolution that can be scaled up or down infinitely without any loss of Quality. where as Bitmap or Raster images depends on pixels and resolution which restrict the Scaling up effectively and cause Large Loss of Quality.
